Thanksgiving With My Best Friend's Mom: a kitchen that stays shut until dinner at six

What is Thanksgiving With My Best Friend's Mom about?

Lexi's hands are slick with butter when she asks Ryan to fetch her apron, and by the time it is on, the turkey is the last thing either of them is thinking about.

With no plans of his own for Thanksgiving, Ryan ends up as Kyle’s guest, and the first warning arrives before they are through the door: stop staring at my mom. Lexi announces that dinner is at six and almost at once calls for help with an enormous turkey. Kyle sends his friend off with a grin, joking that she is about to put him to work.

The comedy of Thanksgiving With My Best Friend’s Mom comes from two rooms. In one, the men shout at the football and call Ryan’s name every time something happens. In the other, Lexi turns every cooking job into a double meaning and lays down a single rule: nobody comes into the kitchen until dinner. Ryan has to keep answering the living room while he decides how far to go along with the woman at the stove.

Episode 1: Butter, an apron and a touchdown

Thanksgiving With My Best Friend's Mom, episode 1 · open to anyone, no login

In his opening narration Ryan sets out why he is spending Thanksgiving at Kyle's, and the doorstep brings a swift complaint from Kyle about where Ryan's eyes are going. Lexi ushers the pair inside, sets dinner for six and asks Ryan to help her stuff a huge turkey. Kyle nudges him towards the kitchen with a joke about being made to work.

Lexi's hands are thick with butter, so Ryan fetches her apron and helps her into it. Soon she is asking whether he wants to play, having him try what she is cooking and wondering aloud whether she might taste him too. Kyle bellows about a touchdown from the living room. Lexi's answer is to keep Ryan where he is, because nobody comes in here before dinner.

Episode 2: Hot pie and helping hands

Thanksgiving With My Best Friend's Mom, episode 2 · free once you sign up

Lexi lifts a pie from the oven and warns that it is very, very hot, and Ryan says it smells delicious. Kyle complains again, loudly, that his friend is missing the game, and from the kitchen comes the answer that he is busy. He offers a hand with the turkey, she checks whether he really means it, and he claims to be very good with his hands. The short episode closes on Lexi asking if he would like to try a little something before dinner.

Can Ryan stay in Lexi's kitchen without Kyle walking in?

Two free episodes leave Ryan exactly where Lexi wants him: in her kitchen, ignoring the game, with dinner not yet on the table. Kyle has already caught him staring once, and he keeps calling for his friend from the next room. What is unresolved is whether her rule about the kitchen will hold, and what Ryan can say to his best friend when the meal is finally served. Episodes 3 to 5 continue the holiday on Candy AI.
