Honeymoon With My Mother-in-Law: a connecting door at the beach resort

What is Honeymoon With My Mother-in-Law about?

Tom's first reaction to the woman by the pool is pure appreciation, and his second is alarm, because the woman in question is his brand-new mother-in-law.

Seven days after the wedding, Tom and Ava have escaped to a beach resort to start their life together. The plan lasts until Ava’s mother arrives unannounced, claiming that no mother could stay away while her only child begins married life. Lexi has gone further than simply turning up. She has booked the room beside theirs, with a connecting door, in case the newlyweds need anything at all.

The tension sits in that door. Ava sees a mother who fusses too much; Tom sees a woman who tells him marriage suits him the moment her daughter goes for drinks, and who says she came to make sure Ava is looked after in every way. Lexi does not believe the marriage will last the week, and each hour of the honeymoon tests whether she is right.

Episode 1: The mother of the bride checks in

Honeymoon With My Mother-in-Law, episode 1 · open to anyone, no login

The episode opens with Tom admiring a woman by the water and then working out who she is. Ava is just as startled to see her mother. Lexi is delighted with her surprise and explains that a mother ought to be near when her only daughter begins a marriage. Ava, complaining about the heat, goes off to fetch drinks and tells the other two to stay put.

Alone with Tom, Lexi says he looks good and that marriage suits him; he stammers the compliment back. She mentions the room next door, connecting door and all, and calls it perfect to have the whole family together. Later, heading for the bath, Ava tells Tom to send her mother on her way before too long. Lexi beckons him over and explains she came to check her daughter is properly taken care of, in every way.

Episode 2: Since the wedding day

Episode 2 is brief and picks up with Tom already somewhere he admits he should not be. Lexi points out that he is here all the same. Tom's protest, that Ava is both his wife and Lexi's daughter, only amuses her; that, she says, is the fun of it. He frets that Ava will overhear, and Lexi's answer is that silence takes care of that, adding that she has wanted this moment ever since the ceremony.

Will Ava find out before the honeymoon week is over?

Lexi has said out loud what she came for, and Tom has already run out of objections. Two threads stay open: Ava, who is never more than a room away and suspects nothing so far, and Lexi's bet that this marriage will not survive its first holiday. Honeymoon With My Mother-in-Law continues in episodes 3 to 5 on Candy AI, and this page covers only the two episodes it has seen.
