My One-Night Stand Is My Girlfriend's Mom: a Miami stranger answers the front door

What is My One-Night Stand Is My Girlfriend's Mom about?

The flowers have barely been handed over when Hannah heads upstairs to dress for dinner, leaving her mother alone with you just long enough to say one word: Miami.

Miami was supposed to stay anonymous, with no names and no numbers swapped before everyone flew home. Three weeks later Hannah finally takes you to meet her mother, and you turn up with flowers and your best manners. The door opens on that same woman, now introduced as Mrs Akira, and Hannah proudly presents the two of you to each other as if you were strangers.

You agree on one point straight away: Hannah can never know. The problem is Mrs Akira herself, who has spent three weeks remembering Miami and is far calmer about the danger than you are. Every move she makes is timed around her daughter’s voice drifting down the stairs, asking about a black dress or calling for help with it, and each interruption only seems to encourage her.

Episode 1: Flowers at the front door

My One-Night Stand Is My Girlfriend's Mom, episode 1 · open to anyone, no login

You arrive at your girlfriend's house three weeks after an anonymous fling in Miami, and the woman from that fling is the one who opens the door. Hannah introduces you as her amazing boyfriend, you hand Mrs Akira a bouquet, and she calls it sweet. Hannah goes upstairs to change for dinner and warns her mother to be nice.

The moment you are alone, Mrs Akira names the city. You insist it is pure coincidence; she says it came as a surprise to her too. Both of you settle on one rule, that Hannah must never find out, yet she confesses the night has stayed on her mind. When Hannah calls down asking where her black dress is, her mother answers, catches you staring again, and sets a place and a time: the laundry room, in two minutes.

Episode 2: Hannah at the laundry door

My One-Night Stand Is My Girlfriend's Mom, episode 2 · free once you sign up

Mrs Akira has picked the laundry room so that nobody hears. You protest that Hannah is just one floor up, and she calmly agrees before asking whether you remember Miami. Then Hannah's voice cuts in, asking her boyfriend to help with her dress. You try to slip away and answer, but her mother brushes Hannah aside and promises this will be quick.

Hannah keeps calling, first for her mother and then for you, until she is near enough to ask whether you are in there. Mrs Akira hushes you, and once the danger seems to pass she asks, with perfect composure, whether the two of you should carry on.

Will Hannah find out what happened in Miami before dinner?

Dinner has not even been served when episode 2 ends, and the one rule of My One-Night Stand Is My Girlfriend's Mom is already strained, because Hannah has come looking and her mother shows no sign of stopping. The Miami secret now belongs to two people who want very different things from it. Still unanswered is how long you can keep up the polite boyfriend act once everyone sits down to eat. The evening continues in episodes 3 to 5 on Candy AI, past the point this guide covers.
